Epson ET-2500 error: "EPSONPrintersXIORemoteCompetiblePrinterEnterCommand1"

Hi.

Here is an Epson ET-2500 connected to my MacStudio (and MBPro M1Pro if needed) both with Sonoma 14.1.1. The above is an error printed at the top of the page suddenly since yesterday:

The printer is USB connected, it has been removed and readded. Factory reset has been done via buttons (no display) but I'm not sure the procedure is correct.

I'm almost sure the problem is not Sonoma-related as it started with Ventura (added Sonoma later in the night) and the MBPro M1 Pro was printing form Sonoma.

Error, persists and I can't get any info on the net. Looking if the printer (7 years old) is dead.
