My iPad Mini 4 is extremely slow

It is slow loading web pages and downloading videos and app updates. As well, battery management seems not to be working as the battery runs down in only a few hours.

iPad Mini - terrible performance. hello all! i have an iPad Mini 5th gen with the Apple A12 Bionic chip. the iPad has always been fast, and the battery has always lasted a really long time. when i first got it, i got 7-8 hours of SOT, and now i get a solid 6 -7, which is still very respectable. even 4 years later, the performance and battery life are still impressive. after the iPadOS 17.3.1 update, my ipad has become incredibly laggy, and i can’t even get three hours out of the battery. simple games like subway surfers and geometry dash are incredibly laggy, typing is very delayed, when i try to open an app, it will be about 3 seconds before anything actually happens. then all of a sudden, the iPad will start performing well again. i got the iPad in mid 2020, but these issues seem to have started after this update. even sending an iMessage is a laggy mess. any help would be appreciated. feel free to let me know if you’ve had this same problem.

Iphone xs max performance issues since I updated to ios 16.4 my iPhone xs max has been sluggish and the animations are sometimes laggy, my keyboard sometimes lags for a second when I didn’t use it for a while and I just start typing, CAN IT BE MY BATTERY THATS CAUSING THIS PROBLEMS?

Problem with IPAD IOS 16.3.1 after upgrading to Ipad IOS 16.3.1 my IPAD pro' battery runs out very quickly. Is there any way to fix this issue?

The mini 4 is around 8 years old at this point. If you've never had the battery replaced, that likely explains the short battery life.

The iPad just slows down and none of all the mentioned tweaks help or even are applicable

I have a similar experience.

Actually my ipad mini 2 performs better than the mini 4.
