I was on safari and clicked on a bad link which added an event on my calendar that I cannot delete. I’ve tried from settings, forms the calendar app itself, and from iCloud in safari and cannot find a way to delete it. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Is there this symbol on the right of the calendar name which includes this event?
If so it's a subscribed calendar. Right-click on it and select Unsubscribe.
If it's not a subscribed calendar, you can delete it entirely, again from its pop-menu. If the calendar contains other events you want to keep, create a disposable calendar, move the event to that calendar, and delete the calendar.
