how tio downgrade to sonoma 14.0

Trying to migrate old mac (2019) onto brand new with migrate asstsant. New mac tells me that old mac has more recent OSX. How can I downgrade ?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.14

Thanks Randall, no I was not migrating in the wrong direction. I discovered that my new Mac's OS was Ventura, so I'm updating to Sonoma 14.1.1 now. After that I can migrate.

As a Brand New Computer may have been installed with Sonoma 14.0

If the Old 2019 Mac has Sonoma 14.1 or Sonoma 14.1.1

Then Migration Assist would be correct

The Brand New Machine does have an older version of Sonoma

Then, suggest updating the Brand New Computer to the current version 14.1.1 of Sonoma

It sounds like MAYBE you are trying to migrate in the wrong direction. Make sure you are following these instructions:

Yes, the brand new one had OS Ventura, so i'm udating now to Sonoma 14.1.1. To-morrow I can migrate, well not me but my Macs, thanks
