Texting app : Textfree vs Textnow , or others, which is good with iPad ver 6

I've been using textfree ( on iPad versioin 6} having endless problems and the support crew has done nothing , they seem dazed, make no sense, send endless threats to close the case after doing nothing unable to make any sense. Perhaps it is because I have not signed up to pay $10 permonth.

• over and over they say they send "email verification" ive seen that NEVER
• entering letters, numbers or space sometimes take 3 to four seconds eah
• pasting numbers into seems to fail often, requires numerous taps of the screen to wake it up
• it crashes the iPad

Enoug complaINING, which other texting plus calling app does will with iPad

my devices: iPad and macbook pro 2019 (I think)

Born raised Palo Alto, now 74, never learned the systems well, like a recent Apple senior advisor said , keeping up isnt easy even for people like him, for me medical / cognitive issues to not help
