Yahoo mail went offline this morning on my mac book, it still works on my iPhone. Tried removing account and re installing on Mail but it keeps coming back with unable to install message. Have logged into Yahoo on Safari ok but mac mail won't recognise it.

Use an App Password:
Do you use an App Password? If so, try a new App Password. Create a unique on for each device. Remove the current one, and then use the new one instead. Sometimes, changes (i.e. updates) are made to the device, and then mail server syncing becomes an issue (which is what a new App Password it intended to fix). Yahoo! No. This will have no affect on your iPhone’s login to this account. Each is a device of its own, and is therefore assigned its own app password.
