Lost all my playlists and songs on iTunes with Windows 10 on laptop

I wanted to look at 2 different playlists at the same time in my iTunes account so googled how to create a duplicate. I followed instruction Create or choose a library

  1. In the iTunes app  on your PC, choose File > Exit.
  2. Hold down the Shift key while you open iTunes (go to Start, then choose iTunes > iTunes).
  3. In the window that appears, do one of the following:
    • Create a new library: Click Create Library.
    • Choose a different library: Click Choose Library.

Unfortunately it also asked me to download a new iTunes app for Windows which I did.

I now only have the new iTunes app with just 29 songs which all have a cloud sign next to them and I can't find any of my original playlists or 10,100 songs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am not very tech savvy

Windows, Windows 10

See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community. You may simply need to use the Choose Library option to choose your original library again. It should be in ..\Music\iTunes.
