finding size of all files on macbook
Please can someone tell me how to list all file sizes (including folders) on a macbook pro? I have seen recommendations to use Ctrl+J but this does not reveal a 'calculate all file sizes' on my machine.

You can add "Size" to any Finder window...

Hello Leroy thanks very much for replying. The trouble I'm having is displaying the size of folders rather than individual files: is there a way of displaying this (rather than the unhelpful --) ?
.
You can try folders size(s) from the Command i (Information pane) if not represented in the Size column.
