ScanSnap communication errors

Fujitsu/Ricoh ScanSnap S1300i document scanner with ScanSnap Home software. Since upgrade to Ventura, I’ve been getting regular communication / timeout errors during scanning, accompanied by the software crashing. I then need to power off > power on the scanner and relaunch the software. EtreCheck report below:

Thanks for replying. I've tried it out before, and it does work. (I'm also checking out ExactScan). But it doesn't have anywhere near the functionality of the ScanSnap software. So my first preference would be to get the OEM setup working on my system. Theoretically it should, as I understand it. So I'm just hoping there might be some tech issue going on that I could sort.
