M1 MacBook Pro - battery charging problems with Sonoma 14.1.1

I have a M1 late 2021 Macbook Pro 15". Ever since updating to Sonoma 14.1.1 there have been battery charging problems.

The computer is used plugged in most of the time. There were never any issues with Ventura. Now while plugged in battery charging will randomly stop and show a 'charging on hold' message.

The battery also drains much faster than previously with Ventura.

No settings have been changed and usage is same as before.

Sonoma seems to make the battery both discharge faster, and with the 'charging on hold' that can't be turned off is making the battery cycle far more often through charge/discharge cycles. This is going to shorten the life of the battery.

Apple, please fix this! Please issue an update for this problem! It sure seems like an intentional move to make batteries wear out faster.

Normal and by Apples' Design

It is to extend the life of the battery and reduce the # of Full Battery Cycles

For additional reading on Battery and Apple Computers this link may help. About battery health management in Mac notebooks and especially for the M1 / M2 and Big Sur,  Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma  If battery charging is paused or on hold on your Mac

A feature introduced into Big Sur & Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma was to preserve the number of Full Battery Cycles - there was an Algorithm coded into the macOS.

It is perfectly Normal for Big Sur , Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma  to Pause / Suspend charging the battery beyond 80% and hold it at that level.

One can nudge / over-ride this by clicking the Battery Icon on Desktop Top Bar and allow charging beyond 80%.

From observations, it will Pause / Suspend again once reading 90%. Same procedure to over-ride and will charge to 100%
