My Norton 360 security hasn't worked for 2 weeks, do I need any security with my MacPro laptop, iPad and iPhone beyond what Apple provides that is built it?

Intego Mac Internet security I read on Macworld that they recommend additional third party anti virus / anti malware software e installed on my MacBook Pro 2023. They rate Intego Mac Internet Security X9. I am new to Macs! I would appreciate advice on whether I need to install such software? and if so is the Intel software OK? I only have one Mac device to protect but do have linked iOS devices - iPad and iPhone 13 many thanks

No. 3rd party “security” tools like Norton are completely worthless on Apple devices. Get rid of it.

And I would recommend removing Norton using Norton's uninstaller app to fully remove all of it bits.
