How to get rid of thin white borders around all my programs on my iMac running macOS Sonoma?

How to get rid of those very thin white borders around all my programs, around my dock, browser, etc., so that it becomes one with my screen. I only have this when dark mode is on. Is there a setting for this in the menu because I don't have that in light mode.

I'm using Mac OS 14.1.1

Go to System Settings > Accessibility. Turn off "Increase contrast".

FWIW, you can see white lines on the edges of things in Dark Mode whether Increase Contrast is enabled or not. Normally it's off by default.
