Duplicates in Calendar under Big Sur

Hi!

After upgrade from Mojave to Big Sur, I can no longer sync calendars between my MacBook 2013 and iPhone 12 mini using USB cable and iTunes, but have to use iCloud. Result: Duplicates (and Triplicates...) in Calendar. These seem to be confined to recurring events, that I entered myself.

I have fiddled around a lot, trying to follow Apples instructions. State right now is: Calendar is OK on phone, but duplicates on Mac. The Mac Help offers no help on the question, but refers to the Internet.

Is there any help? Thank you for your answers!

Well I figured it out. I discovered, that I had multiple calendars that were all named "Calendar", and that I could toggle their visibility on and off. I selected the one that contained most relevant information, gave it a unique name and set the others to invisible.

Maybe this can help others.
