why did it delete my notes?

i was going to write something else in my notes one day and i come to see that every note i have had was deleted just like most of my photos was deleted out of nowhere

What if you didn’t log out of any account, and overnight things were deleted without consent?

same thing happened to me after updating to the most recent ios. i didn’t touch anything and all my notes are wiped. support was useless and couldn’t tell me what happened so i’ve lost years of notes to their update.

Notes (and photos) sync to external accounts. If you log out of those accounts your notes and other content synced to those accounts will disappear.
