Weather app has changed and can’t read it without glasses!

The new change has made the print so small, and with each swipe, you get a different bright color. It is cluttered and makes it difficult to read even with glasses. Don't understand why that had to change. I also do not care for the updated exercise rings.

What’s wrong with simple and easy? Everything was so much easier to use and read before this update.

Thank you for your reply, and for your added info. Mmmm ... the only thing I can suggest ... although it won't help right now ...is that you send feedback to reach those who work on the Apple Watch behind-the-scenes. They will likely not reply, yet your feedback will reach those who can make changes. If others are sending feedback on this issue too, there may be an update that addresses it.

Seems you may want to try to customizing your Watch after the update:

Wondering if Apple support's online article (link below) can help:

Adjust brightness, text size, sounds, and haptics on Apple Watch - Apple Support

Eg says:

"Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, then tap Display & Brightness to adjust the following:

  • Brightness: Tap the Brightness controls to adjust, or tap the slider, then turn the Digital Crown.
  • Text size: Tap Text Size, then tap the letters or turn the Digital Crown.
  • Bold text: Turn on Bold Text.

You can also make these adjustments on your iPhone. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone,

tap My Watch, tap Display & Brightness, then adjust brightness and text.

If you turn on Zoom, you can magnify / zoom in / zoom out again to see things on the screen larger / smaller again

Agreed. The major reason I hate WatchOS 10. The previous weather app was so much better. Whoever thought of bright fluorescent colors and light on light text killed the weather app. Wish they would have included the option to change the colors of the circle and the text inside the circle. That would have at least made it passable.

Meanwhile, consider one of the many, many third-party weather apps. Perhaps one of them will better suit your needs.

The forced update on my Apple Watch has made it so I can’t read the weather anymore. Whoever chose those bizarre colors for displaying data? Bring back the old and good weather app.

Thank you, if you sent feedback. Sorry to hear you are still suffering:

On another tack:

Check the weather on Apple Watch - Apple Support

says:

"You can use Siri to quickly provide weather information by saying something like, “What’s the weather like?” or “What’s tomorrow’s forecast for Honolulu?”

I have the same problem. All those adjustment that were recommended don't help the weather app. I need to eliminate the horrible background from the weather app. Please go back to the previous weather app OR allow uses to adjust the background so that it can be read without reading glasses.

Thanks for the response. All those changes were made, prior to me posting; however, the bold and larger font is not a fix for me...it's the background that has changed to gray/light blue with dull white print for weather that I find difficult to see without wearing reading glasses! So if you have a fix for that, I'd be more than happy to apply it.

It worked great for me before, it's unfortunate that I can't go back to that.
