Macbook 16" 2019 i9 - core 1 panic - repetitive shutdown

i have a 2019 Macbook 16" that keep shutting down and restarting because of core 1 panic.

It will lock up, the screen will freeze, the trackpad wont click.. then it restarts. The error message the pops up after restart says Core 1 had panic.

here is what ive done...

  • dfu revive/restore
  • clean os install
  • clear nvram and smc

after these things it will run but eventually crashed (without any added software). adding just chrome alone make it crash. even after removing chrome and leftovers. it still crashes.

which makes me think its a hardware issue.

but... i was able to install windows with bootcamp. windows runs great. no more crashing. used it for hours without issue.

i will add the most recent panic log below.

any help is appreciated

For hardware issues I would take it in—

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

"BAD MAGIC!" errors have always required Apple Support to intervene to get resolution. Users have no good magic to combat that. A Support Specialist can read the reports you have posted here, if you give them a hint about your avatar or send them a link. Genius Bar technicians do not generally read panic reports, so they would have to contact Apple support, which can be much more clumsy than doing it yourself first.

I did both the revive and later on the restore.

Very strange that window runs just fine on it but crashes even with a clean os on the max side.

really hoping someone can take a look at the panic logs to give me a clue.

there aren’t any office apple stores in my current country. The other service provides will take forever to get help.

From the reports both:

"BAD MAGIC!

I might suspect a hardware issue, independent of your " window runs just fine"

Im not really sure it is hardware. Since windows in bootcamp seems to run completely normally.

also I previously ran the building hardware diagnostic test previously and received no errors. Which is generally what they would do the the Genius Bar.

im wondering if anything sticks out in the panic logs. But I’m honestly not very familiar with them and could use help reading them.

you can try revive or restore—

The user diagnostic is not as definitive as Apple’s backbench diagnostic — AST2 (Apple Service Toolkit) and is certainly more comprehensive...this is not the front facing over the counter diagnostic Mac Resource Inspector ( MRI )
