What is the current iOS version running on your iPhone? Your tag line suggests you own iPhone 12, which is capable of running the most current iOS 17.1.1

To ensure you are getting the most current iOS version on your iPhone, open Settings > General > Software Update and turn on Automatic Updates.

That said, if you haven't updated your iPhone in some time, you may find to get current, you may want to use your computer with iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac) to update to the most current version.

You need about 8 GB device storage and good Service and/or Wi-Fi.

If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.

Charge the battery > 70%.

Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Download and Install.
