Calendar event snooze no longer works on my iPhone nor iPad

The "snooze" option on Calendar events is no longer functioning for my devices. In the past, when I clicked on "snooze", the event notification would pop up again on my device 9 minutes later. But now, nothing happens, which is concerning, as I used that feature constantly.

I first started to notice the issue last month, but I don't know when it actually stopped working; possibly when I updated to iOS 17. The issue is occurring on both my iPhones (13 Pro and 15 Pro, both running iOS 17.1.1) and my iPad 9(iPadOS 17.1.1).

I have tried creating events with the various accounts I have on my Calendar, but "snooze" does not work for any of them. I have tried tried removing accounts and re-adding, still no luck. I've also tried uninstalling Calendar and then reinstalling Calendar, but the issue remains.

I just purchased the iPhone 15 yesterday, and was hoping that the issue would resolve itself with the new device, but unfortunately Calendar snooze is still not working.

I could understand if it was just one device that had the issue, but to occur on both iPhones as well as the iPad is rather odd. Are there any settings that I'm overlooking? Any assistance is very much appreciated!

Good news!! Today's release of iOS 17.4 has fixed the Calendar Snooze issue on my iPhone! A snoozed event shows up 9 minutes later, just like it used to.

Have the same problem. “Snooze” doesn’t work on iOS and iPadOS. But ironically it works on macOS.

When you snooze your event (which is of course synchronized with iOS and iPadOS) on macOS, you will receive the “snooze” notification again, according to the option you’ve chosen on macOS, and you’ll receive it on iOS and iPadOS at exact time as on macOS.

Still this, of course, doesn’t solve the problem. I find this issue very frustrating and it’s most likely the bug of iOS and iPadOS.

Hope it will be fixed soonest.

ugh. this is so frustrating. if i am away from phone i have to go back into the calendar to double check i did not miss anything. even if you forgot to snooze the event used to at least stay on the notification screen. was really hoping the new update would fix. glad i am not alone though. maybe the next update 🤦🏻‍♀️🤞🏼 its frustrating that there is not an easy way to connect with customer support on native apps too

I have the same issue with my Apple Watch. I have used the snooze since I purchased my first Apple Watch years ago. It was very handy when busy, quick tap and back to what you were doing. The worst part is the snooze still pops up and you can press it and nothing ever happens. I have spent so much time trying to find a fix or a work around with another app. Very frustrating, I guess it hasn't been a big enough issue for the correct people to notice.
