Printing on an Epson ET-2400 from iMAC M1

When installing the ET-2400 it successfully produced a test print in colour.

I selected the print driver for OS 14.x (I am running on macOS 14.0.1)

Now, I discover that it will not properly print images ( a QR code image made the black-on-white image come out as a black page, with the image and text in slightly less black)

and trying to print a page with colour result in what seems to be an error-reporting program printing in black on white.

A page of text will print properly as black on white.

Several attempts produce the same result. (Eg, I tried putting a screen-capture of the QR code page on a Word document, but this did not print successfully.)

Update your Mac to macOS 14.1.1, and try your print test again. Always wise to keep your operating system updated to allow for any interim bug fixes. Epson just released a new drivers and utility package for this device on Nov 13 for macOS Sonoma.

I would install this driver update after you have updated the operating system. Once installed, you will need to re-add the ET-2400 in System Settings : Printers & Scanners panel by right-clicking on it and choosing Reset Printing system… then clicking the Add Printer… button. You reselect the new drivers in the Add Printer panel's Use selector, and then click Add. Once back in the Printers list, right-click on it and make it the Default printer.
