How can I wipe my hard drive and reinstall the OS without my personal data being kept? CommandR does not take me to Recovery Mode.

I have a MacMini late 2014 with an i7 chip and a relatively new 1 terabyte SSD. I have the latest iteration of MacOS Monterey. I'm using a non-Mac keyboard and am not sure if the keyboard combo I'm using for commandR is the same as it is on a Mac keyboard, but I have tried different keyboard combinations that have not worked.

Mac mini, macOS 14.0

When using a non-Apple keyboard, you need to use the Meta key which most times will be the one with Windows icon on the key near the spacebar which equates to the Command key. The Alt key equates to the Apple Option key.
