How to change the dosage on medication from 25 mg to 50 mg in the Health app

I found to delete and archive. But I can’t figure out how to change from 25 mg to 50 mg of particular drug.

The doctor is supposed to write a new prescription to change the dosage. It's legally considered a new drug. So you have to add a new medication, you cannot change the dosage of the old one.

You can archive or remove the old one, or just change its schedule to as-needed.

For arguments sake, I have a medication that the doctor told me to take 1 tab, if I don’t get the desired effect, increase by one tab, and so on up to a maximum. So for example the ordered dose was take 10 to 30mg nightly.

Same goes for getting off a medication. Doctor verbally tells me to decrease by one pill see what happens, go back up if I don’t like the effect. The doctor didn’t write me 2 prescriptions for this. I just kept using the “10-30mg” prescription.

I'm just surprised that Apple wouldn’t allow it to be edited easily. I just use this as record keeping just to keep track. It’s not like this goes to my doctor. It’s my data and the doctor doesn’t have a right to it. So why make it so hard to edit the dose?
