Representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting on June 5, 2023 with the head of Apple's government relations department in the CIS, Middle East, Africa region - Esra Köni.

In September, notification services for measuring heart rate and taking a cardiogram will become available to Kazakhstani Apple Watch users.

Issues of cooperation with Apple were discussed at the meeting. The Kazakh side also raised the issue regarding the availability in Kazakhstan of the irregular rhythm notification services (AFib) and the ECG application, available on the Apple Watch.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan proposed to consider the issue of activation of these functions for users in the territory of Kazakhstan.

Representatives of Apple assured that a software update is planned in September and after which the irregular rhythm notification services (AFib) and the ECG application will be available in Kazakhstan. It's already November, why is the feature still not available???

If you can find an email address, try that.


And you can always talk to your government officials. If they worked a deal, then they needed to sign the official approval documents that would allow Apple to enable the medical device features on the Application Watch. In other words, having a conversation does not mean Apple received written and signed approvals.
