Widgets are grey on Sonoma
Just upgraded to Sonoma. Widgets are just grey boxes with rounded edges in the Notification Center and on the Desktop. I have rebooted and restarted Notification Center, and it hasn't helped.

When You upgrade to Sonoma try to get to settings in Desktops and Docks. Scroll down to Desktop settings and you will see widget settings set it to Monochrome to Full Colour.

If you haven't already done so, try booting into safemode. Then after that boot back to normal again and test it out.
