Sonoma Update when I click to space in desktop screen displays rectangle.

When I click to desktop space without open an application, displays rectangle.

This is not good for user experience and expectation.

When I click to desktop space, there should be nothing only!

I have connected to Apple Support, they told me it is new feature for hiding application,

however I did not open any application, I am only clicking.

Hiding application user experience is simple. But Apple makes it confusion and complex!

When I disable the feature, I could not hide my any application via clicking desktop.

As a user my expectation.

  1. When I click space in Desktop there should be NOTHING!
  2. When I want to hide application I can click for desktop and application hide only.
  3. Hide only do not move to right of screen, do not move anywhere or do not add rectangle to my screen.

It is simple use case and simple user experience for operating system.

As you see in the images you can see a rectangle and it is not good for user experience.

Open System Settings > Desktop & Dock. Scroll down to "Desktop & Stage Manager". Change "Click wallpaper to reveal desktop" to "Only in Stage Manager".
