fcp export video

i'm starting to have huge problems with video files (mp4 or m4v) files that I have exported from FCP. It has been working flawless for several years, but now after the latest OS and FCP upgrade (OS 14.1.1 on M1 and FCP: 10.6.10) when I play with QT or my TV device the play freezes af random time (3-5min). At the moment I'm generating video files from old scanned pictures, and in FCP there is no problems with playing the timeline. I have tried with several different codec all seems to have the same behaviour. I'm desperate now, because I cannot get my work to function.... I have tried to store the file on internal SSD, external SSD, external HD and NAS device, all with the same results.. I have'nt changed anything other than upgrading to lates OS and FCP version. Please help

Whenever the application is behaving unexpectedly, delete its preferences.

Also: what are the exact export settings? Does it also show the same problem if you export as a Quicktime movie, in H264 or in ProRes? Does it also show the same problem if you play it with another application, like VLC?

From fcp.cafe quoting mVFX's twitter posting. Not exactly your issue but maybe related.

"⚠️ On another note, If you're having issues with our products on macOS Sonoma (mainly red screen in FCP), please make sure to update mInstaller (3.0.2 version) 🚀 Only once that's done, uninstall the product and install it again (don't use the "repair" option this time) 😉"

This is strange. I have now exported the same project 3 times. First stripped to only the photos, second with mVertical, and lastly with everything in, and now none of the three shows the error .....

I need to try other project again. Your ide with importing the final file back into FCP really gave me an opportunity to monitor whats going on. I didn'nt think of that :-)

I will be back with more invetigations.
