Does the MacBook Pro M1 HDMI port have power available?

That's about it really.

I have a spare monitor with USB-C input, before I buy an HDMI -> USB-C cable it would be nice to know whether the MacBook Pro (2021) HDMI supplies power.

Is there a pinout of this port anywhere? And yes, I'm aware of the HDMI spec for the connector which does have provision for +5V but I don't know whether that is available on the MacBook Pro.

HDMI output is stupidly difficult to convert to anything. power or no power, you will NEVER create a USB-C from an HDMI port.

if you have a Mac with multiple USB-C ports, connect directly!
