Wake up alarm sometimes doesn’t have sound, but shows active on phone

Randomly my alarm won’t go off with sound with my sleep wake up alarm. Some days it does, some days it just shows actively going off on my screen but there’s no sound associated with it. And like I said, it’s not every day, only randomly. So some days it works great and others I wake up late bc of no sound.
