How does an Android user get in to share my Icloud Note sent them?

Upgrade your Notes? iCloud upgrade? For the first time I am trying to share (receive) a Note from another person. (FWIW, I'm using an iPhone SE 2nd Gen, iOS 16.1.1) Up to this time I have used Notes on my iPhone (just on my iPhone) without any problems. Now, for sharing, I enabled Notes in Settings > iCloud > Show All > Notes. All seemed fine. But when I try to open the Note that my trainer texted to me I get the following message: Upgrade Your Notes To open shared notes, you'll need to upgrade your iCloud account. Does this mean I have to upgrade to a PAID iCloud plan (iCloud+) just to share Notes?

Sharing notes I shared a note from my iPhone 11 to someone with the iPhone X. On my phone it showed us both on the note and that it’s shared. On the iPhone X the note doesn’t even show up at all. Help please??

My phone doesn’t have this feature and I checked all the above items on list provided. I am trying to share my notes with someone who has a iPhone and in my notes there is no icon to share at all I am currently logged into iCloud I have enough storage on my phone I have the most updated software and my feature is not locked for sharing.

They would need to log in to their Apple ID on https://icloud.com to access any shared notes.
