The power supply requirements are as printed on the back, and shown in your photograph (24V, 45W).

A barrel type connector as shown in the the following product from OWC is required:

OWC no longer sells AC power adapters for household power, but if you search for aftermarket products you will find them. They look like this:

They are the same power adapters used for the PowerBook G4.

Please be advised this is not an endorsement for that product or any other. Notice the absence of any manufacturer identification. Consumer safety power markings on such products are often completely fraudulent. Power adapters can be dangerous.

The MacTracker database shows that model used a 45 Watt adaptor.

A word of caution: In working with old G3 and G4 PowerBooks, I have encountered two different barrel plug diameters. Make sure you get one identified as for the M2453.

Also your M2453 is coded "Powerbook2,1." The OWC car charger's compatibility chart lists no iBooks older than those coded "PowerBook4,1" so you may need to call OWC before ordering to see why. It could the barrel diameter thing I encountered.

I checked my favorite site for really old Mac parts and they show no used adapters for that model.
