Garageband MIDI input

Hey everyone,

I just plugged my piano keyboard into my laptop (running MacOS 14.1.1) and it seems as though the MIDI is all screwed up. When I press a key on the piano, it plays as usual. No problem there, but, when I lift my finger off the key, it plays another note. I know that, technically, a release of the key is considered input as well, but it's supposed to be telling the computer to stop the sounds.

I know this isn't on the part of my keyboard because it doesn't get updated. GarageBand seems to have just been updated as the instruments look different.

I've reset the MIDI drivers, shut down and updated my computer, deleted and re-installed GarageBand, and yet, the problem persists. Thoughts?
