i want to ask if apple sends out shipments on saturdays or sundays.
in the email for my order they said the carrier might require a signature and i won’t be home on the weekend so i’m wondering if there’s something i can do about that

You can contact the carrier for options. Have your shipping number at hand. Most will do a "hold for pickup" at the shipper's facility that serves your town.
Weekend deliveries are not up to Apple but rather the shippers. This time of year (approaching major holidays) most carriers often work seven days a week, but Apple cannot control when they show up at your door.
