I signed up with Google for extra storage. Why hasn’t it been added to my iPad yet?

Any secondary external, offsite data storage options DO NOT give your iPad any more device internal data storage.

Apple mobile devices have a fixed amount of storage that can never be changed.

If you have purchased Google data storage, you need to download both the Google Drive/Workspace app and the Google Photos app for backing up documents/text/notes files and fof backing up photos/images, from the Apple App Store app on your iPad.

Once you have setup your Photos app and any other third party apps, that allow backup to Google cloud, data storage services, for automatic backup, you can later decide what data to delete off of your iPad to increase the available, free internal data storage space, on your iPad.

If it was cloud storage, download the Google drive app and sign in with your Google account. In the files app Google drive will show up. You cannot back up your iPad (except for photos) to Google drive the Same way iCloud backup work.
