How to set dark theme for iBook in iOS 17.1.1?

Open a book, tap in the middle of the screen and tap on bottom right corner where 2 lines and 3 dots will appear. Tap Themes and Settings and customise if needed.
Open a book, tap in the middle of the screen and tap on bottom right corner where 2 lines and 3 dots will appear. Tap Themes and Settings and customise if needed.
For some books, tapping in the middle of the screen shows no lines or dots on bottom right corner. Think not all books allow dark mode conversions.
Think some books are in pdf format.
