IPhone 15 pro max front camera is so bad

I’ve been trying to get used to the iPhone 15 pro max camera but i genuinely cannot. I upgraded from the iPhone XR whose camera I absolutely adored. The picture you saw in the app is what u got wheteas in the iPhone 15 it’s so different. It’s grainy, dull, grey, dark, makes me look extremely shiny even when my skin is dry. As someone who loves to take selfies with my friends to capture the moment it’s truly terrible. Everytime I take a selfie it gives me and my friends severe dysmorphia. It brings out dark spots and wrinkles I did not even know existed (I am a teen) and I truly do not believe they exist. The camera is so disappointing and over processes everything, especially considering how expensive the iPhone was. I would 100% prefer and go back to my iPhone XR if the battery life was better and I had more storage. I don’t know why they thought the over processing was a good idea.

I went to the Apple Store and just got told that ‘it’s all about lighting and u need to get into editing blah blah’. The question is why should I have to change the lighting or spend so much time editing my photos because the iPhone is incapable of taking a good photo? I can’t even take nice photos when I’m out because the poor iPhone couldn’t handle the lighting . The xr could never.

Hopefully they fix it in a software update. If not 2200 down the drain.

I also have the same complaint I just bought 3dys ago this pro max 15 I’m also very disappointed when taking a selfie , my old phone is also XR and your right iPhone XR is much better in taking a selfie , is there a new setting you can share it with me
