"Music" takes forever to read my "iTunes" library

OS Monteray 12.6.6

I am trying to migrate my music into "Music".

I have been using iTunes all these years.

So now there is 115Gb of music in the iTunes library.

But when I alt-open the iTunes Library.itl file, "Music" it did spin the wheel for more than 10 hours and nothing happend.

When I doubleclick on the iTunes Library.itl file "Music" just opens it's own new Library with 15 numbers in it.

How do I get "Music" to read and regognise the "old" ITunes library???

Monterey has an issue converting .itl libraries. If you convert your old .itl file using Catalina or Big Sur all of the metadata should be retained. Only the library is required to do the conversion so you can send it to a friend. If you don't know anyone with access to either version then I've done over 50 of these on my old Catalina Mac mini. My email address is in my profile here if you'd like my help.
