Location Services

The location arrow (next to the battery percentage at the top right of the screen) comes on frequently even when I do not expect it. Sometimes the arrow is white. Sometimes it is other colors. How can I tell which app is using location services at that exact moment?

iPhone 4s, iOS 9

To know which apps use location services go to

settings>Privacy&Security>Location Services, scroll down and check the list of apps, you can revise how to allow or deny location access

Remember you can have enabled Apps in Background app refresh or widgets that use your location automatically like the Weather for example

After that go to System Services and check which services you allowed to use Location, you can toggle them on and off depending on your needs

Purple arrow = means an app that used location services recently

grey arrow = location has been used in the past 24 hours

You can just have a look in location services to see all the apps that use location services, there’s no way to tap the arrow and see which is the one using it atm. But in system services you can see the colour of the arrows
