Why I'm seeing different versions of Java in the Java control panel Vs. Terminal

When I'm open the Java in the Setting and open the Java Control Panel

I see that my Java version is 8.


And when I'm typing "Java -version" in the Terminal

I see that my Java version in 20.

By default Java is not installed.


MacBook-Pro ~ %

java -version


The operation couldn’t be completed. Unable to locate a Java Runtime.

Please visit http://www.java.com for information on installing Java.



to see Java dependency you can , copy and paste:

find /Applications -type f -name *.jar
