Is there any way to disable the CAPS LOCK onscreen icon that came with Sonoma?
Is there any way to disable this ridiculous feature? It is intrusive, unnecessary, and insulting. If you look at what you’re typing, you know CAPS LOCK is on because the letters you’re typing ARE ALL IN UPPERCASE. Maybe Apple decided their users are just not smart enough to figure this out on their own and that's why they made this onscreen icon a default setting -- that follows the insertion point everywhere, in every app -- with no way to shut it off, instead of making it an accessibility feature with the option to disable and re-enable it as needed. Thank you, Apple, for saving us from ourselves. Maybe with the next update, add an icon that tells us when we’re typing in lower case as well, and when we’re typing numbers.
