change batteries for Magic Mouse with no door

My mouse has the slot to remove the batteries. How does it operate? My mouse does not have a door like in the support diagram. I do not want to damage the mouse. I assume there is a release for the whole bottom cover.

Old mice had doors and used replaceable batteries.

Newer mice … like the one pictured are charged with a lightning cable. [the same style used to charge iPhones (other than the newest iPhone 15 models.]

The Lightning charging port is that slot shown near the bottom of the mouse as-pictured.
