Using 2 external Bluetooth speakers

I can connect to 2 different external speakers with my iPhone 11 via Bluetooth. Both show connected in the Bluetooth settings but if I play music it only plays on one or the other but not both. Is it possible to have music on both?

iPhone 11, iOS 16

Depends on the speakers. For example, some Sony Bluetooth speakers and Bose Bluetooth speakers allow for chain connection allowing up to 100 speakers to connect and play at the same time. That’s not an Apple feature but one that the speaker(s) you are using would have . Sony and Bose would require Initial setup with their app (Sony Music Center and Bose Connect). At minimum you need to look at the info for your speakers to verify features and setup instructions if they are capable of performing the task you want.
