Upgrading imac pro

I have macbook pro 2012 and had it upgraded a few years ago. Will Apple support a new hard drive? Thank you

It's not clear to me whether you are asking if Apple will replace a Mac's hard disk drive or if the Mac itself will work if it is replaced.


Apple will probably no longer service a 2012 MacBook Pro due to its age and support status — it's considered obsolete. If you want to replace its internal hard disk drive with another one, or replace it with a better, faster solid state drive in lieu of a hard disk drive, the answer to that question is yes, the Mac will work, probably better than it did when it was new.
