"Predictive" replaces text automatically, even when autocorrect is turned off ... how do I prevent that? [on iPhone]
"Predictive" replaces text automatically, even when autocorrect is turned off ... how do I prevent that? I do NOT want to turn off Predictive. REPEAT: I DO NOT WANT TO TURN OFF "PREDICTIVE".
Example: I was trying to type "They are both fantastic". But I made a booboo and typed "They wre" to start out. As soon as I then typed the space, "wre" was immediately replaced with "wrestle", because that was the suggestion that "Predictive" thought I was trying to type. However, I have autocorrect TURNED OFF. I know this might seem counterintuitive, but "Autocorrect OFF" should result in ABSOLUTELY ZERO AUTOMATIC REPLACEMENTS OF MY MISTAKES. I elected to have autocorrect off because my mistakes are actually ALWAYS better than Apple's guess of what I meant to type, and so I'd rather manually fix all of my mistakes.
To sum up: I NEVER NEVER NEVER want Apple to replace ANYTHING I type, EVER, for any reason, and merely turning autocorrect off doesn't accomplish that. What does?
