Download new software, 17.3

I do not have enough storage to download 17.3 on my iPad. How do I please get more storage so I can upgrade with a new software please

iOS 17.0.3 won't download on my 8th gen iPad Im using the ipad 8th gen. The iOS update 17.0.3 is available for my iPad as i can see it in settings. However it sayd i need 2.79GB storage free to download it. I have 5GB free and it still isnt coming up with the option to download it. I need someone to help me with this [Edited by Moderator]

Apple's iPadOS 17.3 has not been released or even in beta. Even iPadOS 17.2 remains in beta. Apple discourages users from installing beta software on production hardware.

As for freeing up space on your iPad,

watch the Apple YouTube video on that subject.
