Can I back up my iphone or ipad to an external hard drive or somewhere other than icloud or a computer? I don’t want to buy a new Mac just to be able to backup and I want to have access if I loose access to the internet completely.

I can’t see any technical reason for Apple not to have a version of the amazing Time-machine for this job rather than having a late model Mac sitting there just for this. Also with all the issues with internet security I don’t want to fully trust iCloud either.

I did buy FileBrowser pro. I may have missed something but to do a backup each and every individual file has to be programmed so not practical. I could not find a way to ask Stratospherix if there was other ways.
