My mother has my old iPhone it’s an XR series. Does this have the MagSafe/charging capability?
she has been having issues plugging it in to charge (coordination/not hearing connection bing). I would love to get her a new MagSafe case and just be able to place it on the charger (and feel the magnetic pull to connect the charger) no plugs, and that pull will let her know it’s on the charger properly.
It is unlikely a Magsafe case will properly fit the XR model. That model has the ability to charge with a wireless charger. It does not have Magsafe charging. Only the iPhone 12 and later have MagSafe charging capabilities.

iPhone Xr is NOT a MagSafe capable iPhone. So there are unlikely ANY MagSafe cases for an iPhone model which doesn't support MagSafe and even if there were, it wouldn't work on an actual MagSafe charger.
As willyoman suggests, there are cases which will charge just fine on a wireless Qi Charger. Just do as recommended and buy a case which says it will work with wireless chargers. But don't buy one which suggests it's MagSafe for an Xr.
There are several cases out there that advertise as wireless charging compatible. Keep an eye out for that in the description when shopping for one.
Thanks. I had run across some cases for the xr that are MagSafe cases, I was double checking if they were actually compatible with the xr- wireless charging (via a MagSafe connection).
will the wireless charging work through her case or dose it need to be out of a case or a special case? Thanks again just want to get it right and easy for my mother
Thank you it is helpful to know she can charge wirelessly. That makes it clearer why I couldn’t find a MagSafe case. Will it charge through a protective case, or it needs to be out of case to charge?
