Will this focus feature continue to send auto-response messages when the phone is turned off?

I’d like to be able to send an auto-response text while I’m out of town, and it seems like the driving focus is the best bet to do that. Will the auto-response message still send when the phone is off or disconnected (in airplane mode, for example)?

No, the phone can only send messages if it's turn on.

You may want to contact your carrier and see if they offer any kind of "away message" or "vacation responder" service.
