maps not allowing me to tap on a point of interest

When selecting a point of interest on my Apple Maps, nothing happens. For years the point of interests information would pop up on the left. It’s almost like my screen has been disabled. But I can use my fingers to zoom in and out and move the map around. So clearly my display is working. Been going on for over a month. I update my IOS when ever new updates come up. Just ****** me off and frustrates me. My other iPad and iPhone work fine, just this one. 🤬🤬
