I want permanently to turn off default double-sided printing on my Mac (OS 14.1.1). The last info on here was 10 years old and required me to use Terminal and sudo to do it. My recollection is that Page Setup used to allow this easily. Is there a way to do it through an easily-reached user setting? It would save me a fair amount of paper and a great deal of aggravation. Thanks!

Depending on your printer drivers you can set a preset default after turning double sided off from the print screen and then making that the default by naming that set up.
Hi, please hit Command-P in any application. It will bring up a Print screen where you should b e able to change from double-sided to single-sided print.
The option is gone in Sonoma 14.5.
If I choose default settings, it will print double-sided, even if the dialog box says I selected Default settings.
The other option in the Pre-settings is double-sided which I did not select.
(I am printing through an older Mac with Catalina 10.15.17 that is the printer server.)
I want to permanently turn off page scaling on my printer's Default Settings. And if I select "Last Used Settings", it's once again "Scale to Fit". How can I edit the Default Settings? If I save a new Preset, it doesn't affect the page scaling.

Hi, thanks! It was the saving part of it that was my missing piece, so I wouldn’t have to do make that change every time I printed something.
