Iphone 14: message thread disappeared -- I did not delete it. Only findable using search within messages

Other message threads are still visible from the Messages tile; just one has disappeared and I did not delete it. If I search on the contact name, I can see the messages, but they still don't appear on the tile that lists all recent messages. My settings keep messages forever. Messages were from the previous few days.

I have tried deleting the messages individually instead of deleting the thread and they still appear again. I have no issue deleting other message, only one chain in particular. accidental deletion of message thread in Application Messages - how to retrieve the message thread? Dear all, By accident, a message thread was deleted on my Iphone (Model Iphone SE purchased in 2016 - Software Version 13.6.1 ) on app Messages. Grateful for proposals on how to retrieve the message thread. It happened through the following steps. The Delete All button was accidentally pressed. As seen in second screenshot below, the message thread is now blank. Thank you for your precious time and kind help.
