Siri won't listen/activate on my iPhone 15 Pro

I have a brand new iPhone 15 pro. All of a sudden Siri won't listen/activate. It won't listen even if I push and hold the power button. I tried resetting by going into settings and then Siri and Search, disabling and re-enabling Siri, but now it won't listen to me telling it what it says to say 'siri, how's the weather', etc. I've rebooted a couple times but still nothing.

So I went to Apple. Seems that there's more than 1 microphone and the one that Siri uses was broken/defective. They did a repair and now Siri will listen. Thanks for your replies.

Troubleshooting SIRI on an iPhone:

A. Start here: If "Hey Siri" isn't Working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

B. Restore your iPhone from a Backup:

Have any backups of this iPhone prior to this occurrence? If so, restore your iPhone from one that has these photos (the most recent backup, ideally). If not, then take this as a learning experience, knowing to always back up your device for recovery purposes. Important: Back up you iPhone prior to performing this restoration, should anything go wrong from here on out.

C. Report this to Apple:

Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: on when this issue began, and how you have troubleshot it this far. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there aw necessary

Troubleshooting SIRI on an iPhone:

A. Perform a Factory Reset:

Go Here: How to Factory Reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

See what happens when you factory reset your iPhone. So, backup what need be and however so, (i.e. enable Photos in iCloud Settings) and then perform the restore. Then, try this one more.

B. Uninstall Beta Software:

Is beta software installed? If so, remove it. To remove it, you must restore your iPhone to factory settings. On an iPhone, you cannot just downgrade the iOS. So, backup what need be and however so, (i.e. enable Photos in iCloud Settings) and then perform the restore. Then, try this one more.

I did a factory restore, without restoring a backup (and also restoring with a backup), still nothing. I don't have beta software installed. And yes, one of the first things I tried was disabling and re-enabling siri. I've got an appointment with Apple on Saturday. After restoring and siri still wouldn't listen, I figured something hardware has gone kablooey. Dictation also isn't working but oddly, speaker phone works just fine.
